Maybe you should consider looking no further than your mindset to drive your business success.
What type of business are you wanting more success in – a home based, entrepreneurial business or a W-2 job? Manufacturing or farming? Whatever it is for you, many of us search for the “golden key” to success, however you define it for you. The truth of the matter is most never find the “key”. Why is that?
Yesterday I posted a book recommendation called Mindset – The New Psychology of Success by Dr. Carol Dweck. The basis for her research is based on the fact that we all fall into one of two categories – either a “fixed” mindset or a “growth” mindset.
And if you don’t have the ‘right’ mindset, you’re spinning your wheels. It’s a fascinating read.
A fixed mindset is one where intelligence is static whereas a growth mindset is one where intelligence can be developed.
For example, a growth mindset usually achieves a higher degree of success because challenges, obstacles, criticism, etc. are handled in such a way that they create possibilities, thinking out of the box so to speak.
Fixed mindsets see things is zeros and ones (my interpretation) and usually take “the way we’ve always done it “attitude, never venture into something new or the fear of failure.
Dr. Dweck provides numerous and interesting stories to support her research and guidance on how to operate in the growth mindset.
I’ve noticed a difference in my business and would like to share them with you. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
